Datang Develops TD-SCDMA Indoor Base Station
September 09, 2005
According to the Chinese company Datang, it has developed an indoor base station for TD-SCDMA, which it says is the first in the mobile phone equipment industry. Preliminary tests on the base station, which will also be made compatible for use on GSM, CDMA, and PAS networks, have been successful. As data services constitute the main traffic on 3G networks and as such services are heavily accessed from within indoor environments, indoor base stations are quite significant for the development of TD-SCDMA.
